The UAE has experienced showers across the country since early morning today.

The emirate is pouring rain and dark clouds are hanging over it. Traffic in Dubai and Sharjah slowed down as motorists slowed down due to reduced visibility.

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority has issued guidelines for driving in the rain.

Tips include:

The Dubai Interior Ministry issued an alert in several languages, including Chinese and Urdu.

The advice asks motorists to drive carefully during weather fluctuations caused by rain and strong winds.

In the video below, residents are also asked to stay away from mountains, valleys and streams.
