Nike closes company offices to provide employees with a week of paid vacation

According to reports, Nike has spent huge sums of money to put the well-being of its employees in the first place.According to the New York Post, the retail giant is Close their corporate office this week. During this period, company employees will be able to enjoy “a week of paid mental health leave.”

“Our senior leaders are sending a clear message: Take time to relax, reduce stress, and spend time with your loved ones. Don’t work,” Senior Manager Matt Marazzo wrote in a LinkedIn post.

In contrast, despite the increasing number of people affected by Covid-19, Nike has not announced any delays or changes.

At this time, it is not clear whether returning people must be fully vaccinated or take other Covid-10 safety precautions. Nevertheless, in his post, Matt expressed gratitude for the opportunity to rest and recover.

“At such a moment, I am very grateful to be a member of this team. Unlike any other year (or two years), taking time to rest and recover is the key to good performance and staying awake,” Marrazzo added road.

He continues to acknowledge the difficult year caused by the pandemic, but hopes that this company break will have a positive impact on employees.

“I hope that the empathy and grace we continue to show to our teammates will have a positive impact on the future work culture,” Matt wrote. “For the team, this is more than just a’week off’… It’s an acknowledgement that we can prioritize our mental health and still get the job done.”
