Japan, Singapore and South Korea top the list, with holders of these passports giving access to 193 and 192 countries respectively

The UAE passport maintains its position as one of the 15 most powerful passports in the world, according to the 2023 Henley Passport Index.
The index compares 199 different passports for visa-free access to 227 tourist destinations. According to the latest published figures, UAE passport holders can enter 178 of the 228 countries without a visa or with a visa on arrival.
The country’s passport has made a significant leap in the rankings in its history, from being the 62nd most powerful passport in the world in 2006, to 21st in 2018, and jumping to 15th in 2022.
It remains the most powerful in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region and the wider Arab world.
The list of countries whose nationals can enter without a visa includes Saudi Arabia, France, Greece, the Philippines and Hong Kong. The list also includes a string of popular holiday destinations such as the Bahamas, Fiji, Mauritius, Georgia and Seychelles.
Countries whose nationals can obtain a visa on arrival include the United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand, Maldives, Bangladesh and Iran.
