Universal Offers Matter-Certified Products for Interoperability Across Entertainment, HVAC and Smart Home Devices

General Electronics (UEI) (NASDAQ: UEIC) announced its new Matter-qualifying products and services at the 2023 Consumer Electronics Show.

smart home They have been known to have compatibility and interoperability issues with their electronic devices and apps over the years. These issues challenge the development of smart home systems.

Mattter has become the standard solution for many large companies to solve the problems caused by these wireless communication problems. Universal Electronics has partnered with Plugfest to welcome Matter solutions to the consumer market.

QuickSet® Cloud Interoperability across IP, Zigbee 3.0, Bluetooth Low Energy, Zigbee rf4ce, Infrared and CEC protocols is supported. This interoperability corresponds to all major digital assistants on the market, including Alexa, Google and SmartThings.

QuickSet® also allows legacy (i.e. unconnected) devices to communicate and coexist with their connected (smart) counterparts, which enables smart home owners to maintain compatibility with their existing installed base of devices.

At CES 2023, physical evidence Quickset was announced to benefit consumers through its multi-administrator capabilities, 6.0 Home Automation and UEI’s Virtual Agent. All of these help stimulate the connected home ecosystem in a user-friendly manner.

The voice-controlled Nevo® Butler also contributes to the growth of Matter by providing a smart home gateway that integrates entertainment and control solutions, bringing consumers a better experience through simple voice commands.

Universal’s TIDE Dial, UEI’s first smart thermostat, adds to the collaborative nature of Matter in the smart home. This cloud-native thermostat supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth LE, and Zigbee, plus Matter bridge support.

Now, HVAC and home automation brands can enhance non-Matter devices to be sensitive and discoverable by Matter-enabled devices.

Finally, QuickSet Widgets, powered by API and white label applications, provide integration to all Quickset Cloud features.
