Tempe has begun debating three ballot proposals for a proposed entertainment district that includes the Arizona Coyotes arena.
Beginning today (January 13) through Wednesday, February 15 at 5pm, individuals or organizations can pay to sponsor arguments that will be printed in a brochure and mailed to registered voters.
Propositions 301, 302 and 303 will appear on the city’s May 16 election ballot.
The proposals are related to the legal action the City Council took on Nov. 29 against the proposed Tempe Recreation District project.
“If voters approve these measures, development will proceed. If voters reject them, the project will not move forward,” city officials said in a release.
The language of proposals that will appear on the ballot can be found at tempe.gov/elections.
