Abu Dhabi: President Yoon Hee-yeol of the Republic of Korea arrived in the UAE today for a multi-day state visit that started on Sunday.
After arriving on the presidential plane, the South Korean President was received by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure and accompanied by Suk Yeol’s Head of Honorary Mission; Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Youth; Khaldoun Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Administrative Services Authority and Member of the Executive Committee, and Abdullah Saif Al Nuaimi, UAE Ambassador to South Korea.
Earlier, UAE fighter jets accompanied the plane carrying the South Korean president into UAE airspace to meet and welcome the country’s guests.
During the visit, the South Korean President will meet with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to discuss the friendly relations between the two countries and plans to further develop bilateral cooperation under the strategic partnership that links the two countries Way.
The two leaders will also consider regional and international issues of mutual concern.
President Yoon’s agenda included participation in Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, meetings with various state officials and visits to strategic development projects.
