January 15 (United Press International) — Ten people were killed and at least 39 injured in a suspected terrorist attack on a Pentecostal church in the Democratic Republic of Congo on Sunday.

“The government strongly condemns the bomb attack by ADF terrorists this Sunday 15/01/2023 on citizens attending a full service at the parish of the Congolese Pentecostal Church No. 8 community in Kasindi, North Kivu,” Congo’s transport ministry said in a statement statement.

The church is located in Kisindi, a small town in Congo’s North Kivu province, about five miles from Beni, in an area known for ADF activity.

The bomb used in the attack was an improvised explosive device.
