this weekend, London Airshow Held Canada’s first air show with a sense of social responsibility and physical distance! The event was called “Sky Drive” and showcased various aerial displays from seven U.S. military demonstration teams:
- U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds
- United States Air Force (USAF) F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team
- U.S. Air Force F-16 Viper Demonstration Team
- U.S. Air Force F-35A Lightning II Demonstration Team
- U.S. Air Force A-10C Thunderbolt II Demonstration Team
- U.S. Air Force C-17 West Coast Demonstration Team
- Royal Air Force CF-18 Hornets
- U.S. Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker
- U.S. Air Force KC-10 Expander
- US Air Force B-52 Stratofortress
- U.S. Air Force E-3 Sentry (AWACS)
Due to COVID-19, there is no static display available. In fact, no planes landed in Canada! After the performance on the 12th, the teams returned to the United States (Michigan) and returned for the second performance the next day.
Although I cannot take photos of any monitor myself, I did take some videos that are visible on my monitor Instagram highlights scroll. In the next few weeks, I will share more videos from the event on my social channels, but until then, more reports can be found Here, with Here!
Overall, this is an amazing experience! I must thank the London Airshow team, their volunteers and everyone who made this event a success.
