The Alpine Theater Project is pulling out all the stops to bring an entertaining Broadway season to Whitefish.
To make audiences laugh, cry and cheer, the 2023 season includes Broadway classics, talented kids on stage and top-notch musical performances.
Here’s what’s on the bill for next season:
February 10-11: “In the Mood: A Night of Big Band Swing” at the Whitefish Center for the Performing Arts—Take a trip back in time and pay tribute to the Big Band Era this Valentine’s Day weekend. The Great American Songbook is in full swing with hits from Glenn Miller, Gershwins and more, complete with big band and Broadway vocals.
April 28-30: “Les Miserables – ATP Kids” at Whitefish Center for the Performing Arts – Performed by high school students, “Les Miserables” is the longest running musical in the world – a true modern The classic, based on the novel by Victor Hugo, features one of the most memorable scores of all time. Epic, sweeping and uplifting, Les Miserables packs an emotional punch that rocked audiences around the globe.
July 6-July 15: “Million Dollar Quartet” at Whitefish Center for the Performing Arts – Tony Award-nominated musical set on December 4, 1956, when an extraordinary twist of fate Bringing Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley together at Sun Records in Memphis for the greatest improv show of all time one. Relive that legendary December night with an irresistible tale of broken promises, secrets, betrayals and celebrations that is as poignant as it is funny, and the show relives the era’s smash hits with an incredible rock, gospel soundtrack Feels, R&B and country hits, performed live on stage by world-class cast and musicians.
July 31-August 2: “ATP Kids! Summer Camp at the Whitefish Center for the Performing Arts” — 45 young hopefuls join 10 working professionals on Broadway to create an incredible concert.
September 1-September 3: “Gypsy” at the Whitefish Center for the Performing Arts — A jewel of Broadway’s Golden Age, “Gypsy” features an unrivaled score, a brilliantly conceived book, and the greatest One of the great lead roles that graced the Broadway stage. Presented in concert format, the show features an all-star cast as Mama Rose, led by ATP Artistic Director Betsi Morrison.
October 21-22: “Cats – ATP Kids” at the Whitefish Center for the Performing Arts – “Cats” is one of the longest-running shows in West End and Broadway history. “Cats: Young Actors Edition” introduces students to musical sensibility in an utterly accessible way, while capturing the magic of the record-breaking Broadway production. The magnificent score includes “Memory,” one of the musical’s most cherished songs.
October 27-29: “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” at Mountain Center—The frenetic 1975 film combines live music on stage to bring the cult classic back to Whitefish.
December 1-3: “Yuletide Affair Kids 2” at Mountain Center – The ATP’s most popular show for 20 years has turned into an equally spectacular ATP KIDS show. Bring the whole family for Santa photos, paintings, hot cocoa and a great show.
December 20-22: “Yuletide Affair 20” at the Whitefish Center for the Performing Arts — a celebration of the popular 20th anniversary that combines heartwarming holiday music with irreverent satire.
