Rami Malek is apparently gearing up to add silent film comedy legend Buster Keaton to his biopic-style role, with deadline Report That Bohemian Rhapsody The Oscar winner is teaming up with director Matt Reeves for a new TV show that will focus on the star and director steamboat bill, little sherlock, generallyand other hits from the silent era.
Reeves – who had his first big TV success, co-creating happiness before going on to direct films like JJ Abrams Cloverfield, Dawn of the Planet of the Apesand, recently, batman– will apparently produce and direct the show, which is being developed by Warner Bros.Meanwhile, Ted Cohen recently succession and vice-presidentDiscussing script with prestige-TV, possibly from James Curtis’s book Buster Keaton: A Filmmaker’s Life.

For his part, Malik recently appeared in David O. Russell’s amsterdam, the somewhat sinister brother of Valerie, who plays Margot Robbie.His career has been decidedly less comedic than Keaton’s over the past decade and vicissitudes — give or take One saturday night live episode where rummy gets a treat— though Keaton’s biographical aspect isn’t particularly interesting: After ascending to the heights of Hollywood success with a string of (still very interesting) silent films, his career and marriage fell apart in the 1930s. (Happily, he remarried and recovered in the 1940s and beyond.) Still, it’s one of those characters—with RhapsodyFreddie Mercury – Malek has given himself some extra large and attractive shoes to fill.
The series does not currently have a title. Warner Bros. apparently intends to sell it to other networks or streamers once it matures a bit.
