Emirates News Agency – 2023 International Defense Conference to kick off on 19 February

ABU DHABI, 23rd January, 2023 (WAM) — The International Defense Conference (IDC) 2023, under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is scheduled for February Opening on the 19th, participants included a large number of leaders, policy makers and senior officials from around the world who specialize in the defense industry.

Organized by the ADNEC Group in partnership with the Tawazun Council (Tawazun) and the Ministry of Defense, the conference is held in Abu Dhabi ahead of the 2023 International Defense Exhibition (IDEX) and Naval Defense Exhibition (NAVDEX) from 20-24 February. Exhibition Center.

The conference, which will be opened by Defense Minister Mohammad Ahmed Al Bowadi, will include numerous panel discussions involving leaders, policy makers, experts and specialists from around the world.

IDC is a global platform that brings together defense sector decision makers and experts to highlight technologies to address the evolving challenges the world is witnessing and to develop security and defense strategies that contribute to world peace. It also highlights Abu Dhabi’s key role in the development of the global defense sector and the importance of international cooperation to restructure the defense system and address future challenges.

The theme of this year’s IDC is “Adapt, Explore, Transform: Reimagining Security, Society and the Human Experience in the Age of Disruption”, held at the ADNOC Business Center in Abu Dhabi, and will focus on the following key topics: The technology was developed for the challenge, focusing on four main themes.

Panel discussions will address economic and social impacts and threats posed by widespread reliance on modern technologies such as artificial intelligence, neurotechnology, biotechnology and augmented reality. They will also discuss the increasing reliance on advanced technology in the workplace and its role in changing approaches to talent development and human resource management, as well as the impact of emerging technologies on modern warfare and future military operations. Additionally, the panel discussion will discuss humanity’s ongoing efforts to explore beyond the current limitations of the physical world and extend humanity’s tentacles into space and the digital realm.

The 2021 IDC will feature more than 2,800 experts and specialists, 400 in person and 2,400 online, from 80 countries.
