Residents of the UAE will enjoy the next four-day long weekend on the eve of Eid al-Fitr in April 2023. During this period, a large number of residents went to their home countries to celebrate the festival with their loved ones, and some people chose to fly to popular holiday destinations such as Bangkok and London.

“Flight prices start to rise around 40 days before Eid, so getting a seat in the last week can be a challenge for travelers from the UAE. It’s best to buy your ticket 45 to 60 days before because after that, usually the price of the ticket Not going down,” he said.

TP Sudheesh, general manager of Deira Tours and Travels, said the UAE has announced a year-round holiday calendar so residents know the exact dates to fly. “The earlier you book, the better price you get.”

5 ways to book cheap flights:

• Book during the week

• Purchase tickets 45-60 days in advance

• Clear cache when buying tickets

• Check low-cost airline tickets

• Look for fare lock options on budget airlines

Adnani advised residents to buy tickets mid-week as people tend to buy tickets on weekends as they don’t have time to search and book during the week. Airfares fell midweek due to lower bookings.

“Another point is to clear the cache, because airlines are smart and the system uses old cookies, so newer tickets are not displayed,” he added.

Also, budget-conscious travelers must check the options of low-cost airlines and use the travel planning maps they provide. Some airlines also offer customers a two-day ticket lock option.

Travelers with flexible dates should check the entire month’s airfares before booking to get the best deal.
