UAE Ministry of Economy backs EGA ‘upgrade’

The UAE Ministry of Economy will support Emirates Global Aluminum’s Ramp-Up, a program aimed at nurturing the UAE’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and helping the economy grow in line with the National Strategy for Entrepreneurship.

Abdulla Al Saleh, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy, said: “The Ministry of Economy is committed to supporting the UAE’s entrepreneurship, innovation and creative ecosystem by strengthening collaboration with like-minded private and public sector partners, in line with ‘Project UAE’. 50′ Push The nation’s economic agenda and diversification plan. We are proud to partner with the Ministry of Economy on this initiative , and will work together to support and promote the success of more entrepreneurs who will benefit themselves and our country.”

The EGA Ramp-Up program is attracting aspiring and newly established entrepreneurs to a series of informative online courses on effective entrepreneurship. The program will work more closely with the most promising start-ups, providing mentoring support from a global network of experts. Startups that meet EGA’s strategic goals will be assessed for eligibility for cash prizes and the opportunity to partner with EGA.

The Ministry’s Entrepreneurship National Platform will provide EGA Ramp-Up with increased opportunities to reach budding entrepreneurs and support the program’s outreach. A member of the Entrepreneurial Nation team will join the EGA Ramp-Up Evaluation Team, which assesses entrepreneurs for eligibility for support.

Applications for the EGA Ramp-Up program are now open and over 300 entrepreneurs have registered for the first round. Applications will close on January 27th.

EGA has partnered with C3 to offer this program. C3 is a UAE-based social enterprise that supports entrepreneurs in the region to unlock their growth potential and maximize their positive impact on the community and the environment. — trade arab news agency
