The enviable sports and supercar series of the Dubai Police has just received a brand new set of wheels.
Aston Martin Vantage has officially joined the force’s acclaimed luxury car lineup and will soon make its debut at the long-awaited 2020 World Expo next month along with other models in the fleet.
Authorities said that this agile, performance-driven Vantage will soon be spotted on the roads of Dubai, wearing a uniform with flashing lights.
As one of Aston Martin’s purest models, Vantage stands out because of its unique and bold design language. Its excellent aerodynamics adds luster to the vehicle’s obvious containment appeal.
The current model is equipped with a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine with a peak power output of 503 horsepower and a peak torque of 505 pound-feet, with a rear 8-speed automatic transmission manufactured by ZF.
Even more attractive is that Vantage can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, with a top speed of 314 km/h.
Dubai Police Vantage has a customized “77” license plate-a number that pays tribute to the seven emirates of the UAE and the long-term cooperation between this British brand and the world’s most famous secret agent James Bond. The release time of this latest work coincides with the long-awaited Bond film “Time of the Dead”, which was released in October.
The assistant commander-in-chief and expert major general Khalil Ibrahim Mansouri, who was in charge of criminal investigation affairs, accepted the full handover of the vehicle in the presence of several senior officials.
He praised the close cooperation with Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd.-Middle East and North Africa, and pointed out that adding supercars to its luxury patrol fleet enables the Dubai Police to strengthen its police officers during international events and important tourist destinations. The security exists.
