Have you always wanted to design your own fashion line? This might just be your opportunity.
Popular e-commerce platform PrettyLittleThing is looking for inspiring ideas to design a capsule collection of 5-10 designs, which, if selected, will go on to retail on the brand’s global website.
With the plans of many fashion and design students disrupted by the ongoing pandemic, the fashion, beauty and lifestyle website launched the competition to encourage the next generation of designers to showcase their talents.
Sketches need to show clear front and back views of each style. They must be commercially designed and “relative to the seasonal release in February 2021”.
Interested applicants must submit designs in PDF format to the website (www.prettylittlething.com/futureoffashion) by September 27th. Submissions will be reviewed and judged by a panel of fashion creative experts including celebrity stylist Zack Tate and Jamie McFarland — known for their iconic British girl band Little Mix looks, according to a statement released.
Winners will be announced on September 30th, with designs finalized and production on October 30th. The brand has set February 1, 2021 as the date when the collection will “go live”.
The competition is open to individuals worldwide and entrants must be 18 years or older.
