Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh) [India], Feb. 7 (ANI): A team of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel along with a specially trained dog unit and necessary equipment has departed from Hindon Air Base in Ghaziabad for search and rescue operations in Turkey. India has sent an NDRF team to Turkey following the earthquake in Turkey and Syria on Monday.
NDRF Deputy Commander Deepak Talwar said in an interview with ANI, “The team, consisting of 47 NDRF personnel and three senior military officers, carried out the recovery and response work in accordance with the UN guidelines.”

He further said: “We have received orders from two teams. The first team will leave soon and the second team will leave in the morning. We are going to provide disaster relief and after that, humanitarian aid will be provided as required. India Government guidelines.”
Speaking to ANI, Talwar said, “The team is doing what the NDRF mandated, so we’re moving. The medical components are there. The paramedics are also there.”
Mohsen Shahedi, NDRF DIG, Operations and Training, said: “As you know, there was a major earthquake in Turkey and Syria. The Government of India has decided to send NDRF’s Two teams headed to Turkey.”
