Each new work model requires Canva employees to only work in the office 8 times a year

Canva is redefining the word “flexible” with their latest work model.According to the Australian Business Insider report, the graphic design platform Recently announced The office schedule of their employees will be determined by their independent team. This change means that employees can better control the number of days they spend in the office.

When it comes to physical and remote work, Canva is entering a “less demanding” space. According to reports, their focus is on “flexibility and connection” for employees and between them.

“We believe that traditional workplaces will be the exception to future jobs,” Canva said in their announcement.

The company shared that the pandemic “refutes the notion of collaboration that is best in one way or in one place.”

In exchange for freedom of work location, employees will be required to enter the “nearest Canva center” at least eight times a year. Canva also provides additional benefits throughout the company, such as “free meetings on Wednesdays.”

The online business decided to adopt a new working model after internal analysis. In their workplace assessment, a survey found that 79% of their teams “feel efficient working from home”. In addition, after “relaxing the stay-at-home order again this year”, about 81% of employees hope to continue to balance remote work and office work.

As you may already know, Canva is well known for its easy-to-understand graphic design elements. Users can create anything, from social media posts to flyers, to presentations and other printouts.

The Australian Business Insider reported that the company “reached a new milestone” as early as April this year. After obtaining additional funding for the platform, Canva’s valuation rose to $15 billion.

According to the platform, users tend to use its features throughout the pandemic. As employees found the need for “tools to support remote collaboration,” its user base grew by 50%.
