New Delhi [India]February 10 (ANI): At the invitation of Nepalese Foreign Minister Bharat Raj Paudyal, Foreign Minister Vinay Kwatra will visit Nepal on February 13-14.

The foreign ministry said in an official statement on Friday that the visit was in line with the tradition of regular high-level exchanges between the two countries and the importance India attaches to Nepalese relations under its “neighborhood first” policy.

During the visit, the foreign ministers of the two countries will discuss various aspects of multifaceted cooperation between India and Nepal.

Notably, this will be Foreign Minister Vinay Kwatra’s first independent visit to Nepal since taking office, the MEA statement read. Kwatra took office as the country’s new foreign minister on May 1 last year.

Nepal and India have historical and civilizational ties to each other, and bilateral cooperation between the two countries has only strengthened in recent years.

Relations between New Delhi and the Himalayan country have strengthened over the years, with several major infrastructure and cross-border connectivity projects completed with Indian help.
