Genesis Unveils Concept X Trilogy at Dubai Opera

Genesis debuted the X Concept Trilogy at the iconic Dubai Opera House, which hosted VIP guests who demonstrated Genesis’ “Open Door Moment” experiment during their journey.

To showcase the brand’s design versatility, the presentation included all three concepts, including the Genesis X Concept, Genesis X Speedium Coupe and Genesis X Convertible.

In a show of opulence, VIPs arrived in a Genesis chauffeur, followed by an evening filled with stunning performances, breath-taking displays, artistic food and drink, and insightful insights from the man at the brand’s helm.

The brand tour was kicked off by Omar Al-Zubaidi, Head of Genesis Middle East and Africa, followed by a presentation on the Genesis trilogy design and brand vision by Graeme Russell, Genesis Chief Brand Officer and Luc Donckerwolke, Group Chief Creative Officer.

Al-Zubaidi said: “We are very proud and excited to host the world’s first Genesis X Concept Trilogy showcase. These experimental models are a powerful symbol of the importance of the brand’s design. We would like to thank our partners and VIPs for their continued support of the brand, And look forward to many more successful milestones for Genesis throughout the region.”

The X Concept Trilogy represents Genesis’ typology-free automotive design and development capabilities. The “X” symbolizes the “hidden hero” and also represents the exploration of the brand’s various design potentials.

“The X concept car takes the brand into the future and demonstrates how the new EV Genesis portfolio will be elegant, exciting and desirable,” said Donckerwolke.

Genesis X Concept

The first in the series is the Genesis X Concept, which debuted in Los Angeles in March 2021. The electric vehicle-based Gran Turismo concept embodies the brand’s vision for sustainable luxury, using Genesis’ Athletic Elegance design language.

The second member of the range is the Genesis X Speedium Coupe. The concept showcases the brand’s signature design language in a more advanced way. Inspired by a passion for motorsport, this model focuses on the emotional value of driving in the age of electrification. The concept is also known for its evolution of the Genesis Crest grille to denote its electric powertrain.

The X Convertible is the third concept car in the trilogy, taking the X Speedium Coupe concept further to an emotional level. The X Convertible offers freedom of expression and a highly sensual experience, thanks to an open roof that allows a direct connection to its surroundings.

“Our quest for electrification revolves around our commitment to explore new paths. Our goal is to be a zero-emission vehicle brand by 2030 and zero carbon by 2035,” Russell said.

With the future importance of the electric vehicle era, the subtleties of the powertrain and new technologies will create a new stage for drivers and passengers to interact with their environment in new and exciting ways. — trade arab news agency
