Ankara [Turkey]Feb. 15 (ANI): The Indian Army’s ‘SANCHAR’, a network-independent real-time tracking and messaging module, is being used in Turkey, where Indian Army teams have been deployed to provide relief to the local population.
The system, which is operationally used by all defense and paramilitary forces to track team members and assets in the battle zone, was developed by an Army team including Capt. Karan Singh and Sub PG Sapre, officials said.

Captain Singh is currently deployed in Turkey for disaster relief operations.
SANCHAR is compatible with all map formats and GPS constellations. It has compact dimensions (12x12x5 cm) and is lightweight. The system has a communication range of 1.5-2 km and a battery life of 6 to 7 hours. It has a lower cost compared to its variants.

Under Operation Dost, the United Health Ministry provided life-saving humanitarian medical assistance to earthquake-hit Turkey and Syria.

Under Operation Dost, India is assisting Turkey in search and rescue operations in earthquake-stricken areas. In order to save the lives of the victims of the earthquake, the Indian army also established 60 auxiliary field hospitals in Turkey.
India has sent its seventh aircraft to Turkey. The Indian Air Force C17 carrying relief supplies, medical assistance, first aid and intensive care medicines, medical equipment and consumables took off from Hindon Air Base in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. (Arnie)
