Tokyo [Japan]February 16 (ANI): The India-Japan joint training exercise “Guardian of the Dharma” will be held at Imazu Camp, Shiga Province, Japan from February 17 to March 2.

The Ministry of National Defense stated in a press release that the “Guardian” exercise will further enhance the level of defense cooperation between the Indian Army and the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force and promote bilateral relations between the two countries.

This is the fourth India-Japan joint military exercise “Guardian”. The scope of the India-Japan joint training exercise includes joint platoon-level training for jungle and semi-urban/urban terrain operations.

Units of the Garhwal Infantry Regiment of the Indian Army and the Central Infantry Regiment of the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force will take part in the joint training exercise. During the joint exercise, the militaries of the two countries will share experience gained in operations to enhance interoperability in planning and execution.
