Anticipated donation of $30,000 to support local environmental efforts and nonprofit capacity building
On Monday, the Chaffee County Community Foundation (CCCF) announced a new partnership with event production company Bonfire Entertainment, with an initial donation of $30,000 that CCCF will distribute through its grant programs and nonprofit capacity-building efforts to Community non-profit organization.
The partnership is specifically designed to encourage environmental innovation within the county and broadly supports local nonprofits by helping to fund their capacity-building efforts.
“At the Chaffee County Community Foundation, we have been impressed by Bonfire Entertainment’s commitment to supporting the communities in which they operate, particularly their philosophy of leaving no trace at their events, investing in the local nonprofit sector and creating opportunities for high-income impact the environment grants,” said Betsy Dittenberg, executive director of the CCCF. “We are honored to be partnering with Bonfire because their values ​​align so well with ours, and we are excited to see the growth this partnership brings to Chaffee County.”
The $30,000 donation to CCCF is the result of proceeds from Bonfire Entertainment’s successful Renewal 2022 bluegrass concert at The Meadows in Buena Vista in September 2022.
CCCF will allocate half of the Bonfire contribution to its Catalyst Fund, which will help local nonprofits across the county strengthen their capabilities and improve outcomes through training, professional development and support. This includes the Foundation’s full-day community summit scheduled for September 19, 2023.
