Louvre Abu Dhabi offers a first-of-its-kind immersive theater experience in true blue Bollywood style.

On Friday and Saturday nights, the renowned museum will take community members on an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of “Mumbai Nights 2,” a fictional Bollywood blockbuster.

As part of this cultural season’s exhibition titled ‘Bollywood Superstars’ at the Louvre Abu Dhabi, the dynamic show is full of dance, song, romance, comedy, melodrama and more from Hindi films. What a wonderful aspect.

So, here’s a teaser about what to expect. Even when it’s your turn to enter the “shooting” location, you can hear the Punjabi drumming, which certainly sets the tone. Once inside, there is up-and-coming actor Mohit Mathur, a dynamic man from the UK, who will explain the process.

There will also be theater artists and professionals such as Suraj Shah, George Verghis, Sheetal Pandya, Nisha Anil and many more who will act as actors, directors, production assistants and more. Tantrums and swag. Guests will be able to explore sets, props and costumes, and perhaps play extras in the film.

Sara Almamoud

Sara Almahmoud, Louvre Abu Dhabi’s senior production officer for education and cultural affairs, said such events were held to highlight different cultures.

“We try to mix and match and create something beautiful,” she told Khaleej Times.

She noted that “Secret Gala: Bollywood Superstars” is a unique event held in the region.

“It’s an immersive theater experience. It’s new to the GCC. And Louvre Abu Dhabi is the only place that does it. We brought it all the way from the UK. It’s experiential entertainment So, you’re not just sitting and watching, you’re part of the team. So, you can dance, sing and act while enjoying the show,” Sarah said.

As the show progresses, Mohit Mathur will also teach guests the secrets of performing these dance moves, while fellow cast members get a sneak peek at what goes on behind the scenes at cinemas in Mumbai.

Sarah noted that the entire cast is made up of acting actors from both the theater and the film.

“99% of the actors here are Indian. We want to be very close to the accuracy of our predictions. We want to show Indian culture in the right way,” adds Sara.

The exhibition is divided into five venues, utilizing most of the museum’s locations. There are movie posters, tuk-tuks, a selfie zone, a press conference area, a traditional location in the Varanasi ghats and a final dance, followed by a party with lively Bollywood songs and Tamil , Telugu and more.

The entry fee for the All Pass is AED 190, including the gala. Events start at 8pm on Friday and Saturday nights.Tickets can be booked
