Isra Wal Miraj: When is the next public holiday for UAE residents?

Dubai: Every year, the UAE government announces official public holidays for public and private sector employees. Around this time, one might wonder if Isra Wal Miraj is taking a day off.

This year’s Isra Wal Miraj, which falls on February 18, is an Islamic festival celebrated every year on the 27th day of Ramadan according to the Islamic calendar.

UAE employees will not receive paid holidays from Isra Wal Miraj as this is not mentioned in the official public holiday calendar issued by the government. The next public holiday that residents can look forward to is Hari Raya in April.
