AeroFarms second annual Agtech Innovation Summit brings

AeroFarms®, a certified B Corp and world leader in indoor vertical farming, held its second annual AeroFarms AgTech Innovation Summit at Rosewood Abu Dhabi with over 24 speakers from 65 different countries and More than 1,000 attendees came together to discuss the future of food and agriculture. The summit was supported by AeroFarms’ ongoing partnership with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO).

The summit saw Eng’s keynote address. Abdulla Abdul Aziz Al Shamsi, acting director general of ADIO; Sonny Ramaswamy, president and CEO of the Northwest Council of Colleges and Universities and former director of the National Institute of Food and Agriculture; and David Rosenberg, co-founder and CEO of AeroFarms. The panel discussion was moderated by Becky Anderson, Executive Editor of CNN Abu Dhabi and Anchor, and Kelsey Warner, future editor of the UAE National newspaper.

At the summit, AeroFarms also announced the signing of two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) and the International Center for Biosalt Agriculture (ICBA).

The signing ceremony was attended by AeroFarms co-founder and CEO David Rosenberg and NYU Dean of the Faculty of Science Marta Losad.
