ABU DHABI – The second annual AeroFarms AgTech Innovation Summit took place at Rosewood Abu Dhabi, bringing together over 24 speakers and over 1,000 participants from 65 different countries to discuss the future of food and farming.
The summit was supported by AeroFarms’ ongoing partnership with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO).
At the summit, Eng delivered the keynote speech. Abdulla Abdul Aziz AlShamsi, Acting Director General of ADIO; Sonny Ramaswamy, Chairman and CEO of the Northwest Council of Colleges and Universities and former Director of the National Institute of Food and Agriculture; and David Rosenberg, Co-Founder and CEO of AeroFarms. The panel discussion was moderated by Becky Anderson, Executive Editor of CNN Abu Dhabi and Anchor, and Kelsey Warner, future editor of the UAE National newspaper.

At the summit, AeroFarms also announced the signing of two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) and the International Center for Biosalt Agriculture (ICBA).

The signing ceremony was attended by AeroFarms Co-Founder and CEO David Rosenberg and ICBA Director General Dr Tarifa Alzaabi. ADIO has been working with AeroFarms since 2020 as part of its aim to create sustainable investment opportunities to support next generation agriculture in arid and desert environments. A partnership established through ADIO’s innovation program has led to the creation of Abu Dhabi AeroFarms AgX, the world’s largest indoor vertical farm of its kind researched and developed.
