Salt sets up camp at Louvre Abu Dhabi

[ad_1]

The art and gastronomy worlds come together…

When you think of the Louvre Abu Dhabi, the first thing that comes to mind is stunning and precious works of art.For the next nine weeks, however, even gourmets will be flocking to salt camp is back.

That’s right, Salt Camp has set up camp in iconic destinations, inviting all art and food lovers to its newest venue. Visitors will now see a bold and vibrant pink tent rising from the museum, in addition to Jean Nouvel’s stunning white building.

As for the theme? Salt Camp is calling its new event, “Art Has Left the Frame,” so guests can experience works of art like never before. Through the event, Salt invites guests to answer some insightful (but also hilarious) questions, including “What would the Mona Lisa do if she left the frame?” What do you think she would do outside?

Something interesting to think about, right? It’s a concept that Salt Camp first came up with, but let’s just say, it’s pretty interesting. Leonardo da Vinci’s famous portrait isn’t the only one, as eight famous historical artists have been chosen to be part of the Salt Camp food and art tour. You can also look forward to reinterpretations of works by Louvre Abu Dhabi and international artists.

It’s also a great way for Louvre Abu Dhabi to break down the barriers that prevent people from discovering the magic of art, making art accessible to everyone.

At the heart of Salt Camp, visitors can sit, gaze and warm themselves around a glowing fire pit while admiring the fascinating arts and cultural beauty. For entertainment, culturally inspired live performances will take place on an elevated stage.

While you’ll make lots of fun memories, you can also shop for stylish pieces designed in collaboration with Louvre Abu Dhabi.

Founders Deem al Bassam and Amal al Marri share: “Art and culture are at the heart of everything we do at Salt. We believe in pushing the boundaries of traditional artistic expression and finding new ways to connect our community through shared experiences. Our latest endeavor is to celebrate the beauty of the simple things in life and bring people together for an immersive arts and culture experience you won’t soon forget.

Can’t wait to visit? Camps will be open tomorrow (23 February – April). Opening hours are from 12 noon to 12 am.
