If you’re looking for weekend plans, here are some performances you don’t want to miss.

frog

Friday 7pm and 10pm, Saturday 2pm and 7pm

Free admission

lovers and madmen Presenting their production of “The Frog,” a musical by Stephen Sondheim.Dionysus and Drama Dionysus Xanthias travels to the Underworld to bring Bernard Shaw back from the dead to change the quality of modern drama. Lovers & Madmen is Northwestern’s only classical theater company.

Mee-ow-pocalypse: Let’s Refill

Xiangli Pavilion

Thursday 9pm, Friday 7pm and 10pm, Saturday 7pm

Tickets: Do what you can on Thursday, $5 on Friday and Saturday

Mee-Ow Comedy is a short school comedy group that combines skit comedy and improv. The show will feature live music from Mee-Ow’s own band.

Ethel M. Barber Theater

Thursday 7:30pm Friday 7:30pm Saturday 2pm and 7:30pm Sunday 2pm

Ticket Price: $6-30

Based on the short story “The Ugliest Pilgrim” by Doris Bates, “Violet” tells the story of a young girl scarred by an ax who seeks out a televangelist who she believes will make her “beautiful.”

Pick-Steiger Concert Hall

Sunday at 3pm

Tickets $4-6

Conducted by Daniel J. Farris, the concert band consists of Bienen and lay students. The show is open to the public and tickets are $6 and $4 for students.
