Hazza Al Mansouri, the first Emirati astronaut to go into space in 2019, wished his predecessor good luck on Sunday.

Emirati astronaut Sultan AlNeyadi, the first Arab on a long-duration space mission, will spend six months aboard the International Space Station, an orbiting laboratory 400 kilometers from Earth.

On September 25, 2019, Al Mansouri became the first Emirati in space and the first Arab on the International Space Station (ISS).

“This time, Sultan, you will be heading to the International Space Station with the flag of the UAE. Rest assured that we are here to support you through all the milestones of this mission. Have a great journey,” Al Mansouri tweeted.

Earlier, in a video, Al Mansouri wished AlNeyadi success in the six months he will spend on the International Space Station. “I want you to keep me updated on your activities, experiments, etc. I will also monitor you at Johnson Space Center. Make sure your parents and family are well. I will be your eyes on Earth,” Al Mansouri said in a statement. said in the video.

Al Neiadi thanked Almansouri in a video and said he aims to follow in his footsteps and add to his achievements. “Right now, we are preparing for the mission and there is no one better than Abu Ali (Haza) to stand by my side and help me with the preparations. When I launch into space, you will be there during the mission and you will be The right person to assist the entire crew as you are the Incremental Leader. I look forward to working with you on this mission and success…” said AlNeyadi.
