Indian golf torchbearer Jeev Milkha Singh was recognized for his outstanding achievements and received the prestigious Dubai Golden Visa-becoming the first professional golfer to receive this honor.
The 49-year-old has a long-term connection with Dubai, has participated in several games and made many friends in the city. During the 2001 Dubai Desert Classic, he set a world record at the time. He completed four rounds of putting, only made 94 putts, and finished sixth.
Singh has won four championships on the European Tour, four championships on the Japanese Golf Tour, six championships on the Asian Tour, and a 10-year “gold card” because he is an elite Professional athletes.

Singh became a professional player in 1993 after a brilliant amateur career, including representing India in the Eisenhower Cup in 1988 and 1992, becoming the first Indian to qualify for the European Tour and the Japanese Golf Tour. He also became the first person in his country to participate in all four Grand Slam tournaments and won the Asian Tour Championship twice.
The legendary Indian athlete and son of the late “Flying Sikh” Mirha Singh, he won two of the biggest events on the European Tour-the Volvo Masters in Valderrama in 2006 and 2012 The Scottish Open.
