Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Swami Brahmaviharidas, head of BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi, discuss the construction of the UAE’s first traditional Hindu stone temple progress.

During the hour-long meeting in New Delhi, Swami Brahma Viharidas briefed Modi on construction work on the Abu Murrayha Historic Project, which is more than 50% complete.

According to BAPS Hindu Mandir, the prime minister is particularly interested in the 300 high-tech sensors installed throughout the temple, which provide valuable real-time data on pressure, temperature, subsidence, deflection and stress, among others, generated by seismic movements.

Beautifully designed sculptures showcasing the richness of Indian culture and Arabic symbols on white marble and pink sandstone are being elevated at the project site.

Furthermore, Swami Brahmaviharidas, on behalf of His Eminence Mahant Swami Maharaj and BAPS all over the world, expressed their heartfelt thanks to Modi for personally inaugurating the Centenary Celebration of Pramukh Swami Maharaj. Spanning over 600 acres in Ahmedabad, Gujarat; the celebrations were planned and managed by 80,000 volunteers and attended by more than 12.1 million people worldwide.

“It was unique, on such a scale and so well planned, and I’m delighted that it was celebrated flawlessly without any glitches or snags,” Modi said.

As a gesture of spiritual gratitude, Swami Brahmaviharidas tied a sacred thread around the prime minister’s wrist.

Also, Swami Brahmaviharidas conveyed the blessings of Mahant Swami Maharaj, urging Modi to continue his efforts not only to lead the country but also to unite world leaders for global peace.

Swami Brahmaviharidas presented the book “Love and Ease: Everyday Spirituality with Pramukh Swami” by Professor Yogi Trivedi, Graduate Professor of Journalism at Columbia University.

The temple under construction is located on 27 acres of land in Abu Dhabi. The pink sandstone formations are expected to last for more than 1,000 years.
