After Jaheim Hoagland found 15 abusive dogs at his home in New Jersey, he is facing legal issues. According to My Central Jersey, law enforcement agencies visited Jaheim’s residence on Monday morning in response to the report of the “Puppy in Distress”. It is unclear who submitted the report, but officials found multiple incidents of dogs in distress upon arrival. Jaheim was arrested on unrelated arrest warrant charges, but was charged with third-degree animal cruelty and disorderly crimes.

According to Somerset County Attorney Michael Robertson, multiple dogs were found locked in crates piled with dog feces and several inches deep. During their visit to the troubled puppy, the police found six dogs in the driveway. According to reports, Michael said that one of the six was later euthanized. It was initially found unresponsive in a crate filled with water.

When the police started helping the dogs in the driveway, they heard barking from inside the house. After investigating these voices, they found that another 9 dogs suffered from various degrees of emaciation and weakness. According to reports, these animals have also been denied food and water.

Jaheim was arrested shortly after the discovery. However, the initial allegations were related to a violation of the probation order in Somerset County. He also has two more effective municipal court arrest warrants. He was detained and received charges of cruelty to animals and “failure to provide necessary care for animals”.

The two dogs that were found went to the emergency veterinary clinic for immediate treatment. In the end, all 14 dogs that survived the so-called cruel environment were also treated in Long Hill Kennel in Hillsboro.
