UAE: Sheikh Mohammed issues law establishing Abu Dhabi transport…

In his capacity as Ruler of Abu Dhabi, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, issued a law establishing the Abu Dhabi Transport Company.

The new company will support the emirate’s integrated transport infrastructure by developing systems that help provide efficient and sustainable services to citizens and residents. It will become a subsidiary body of the Supreme Council of Fiscal and Economic Affairs.

Abu Dhabi Transport will implement, operate and develop transport systems in urban and rural areas across the emirate. It will oversee any other activities related to its mission.

The company will develop the rail system and all other related services and operations, and provide integrated transportation services, including vehicle and bus rental. It will work with other government entities in Abu Dhabi to achieve its goals.
