The 11th edition of GISEC Global, the largest cybersecurity event in the region, kicked off in Dubai on March 14th with over 500 exhibiting brands from 53 countries around the world, 300 leading InfoSec and cybersecurity speakers and Nearly 1,000 of the top ethical hackers participated in a record-setting exhibit. GISEC Global 2023 is organized by DWTC and hosted by the UAE Cyber Security Council against the backdrop of a booming global digital economy estimated at $11.5 trillion and facing unprecedented cyber threats for which the world is expected to cost $10.5 by 2025 1 trillion per year.

Dr. Mohamed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Chairman of the UAE Cyber Security Council, highlighted the importance of working together to upskill people and enhance cyber culture in a post-pandemic world.

Over 1,000 ethical hackers from the global and local communities are expected to attend as they confront real-world threats and find solutions.
The highlight was the inaugural CyTaka World Cyber Championships, organized by Israel-based CyTaka in partnership with the UAE Cyber Security Council and CyberGate.
Online heroes from around the globe will showcase their digital prowess for the chance to win $1 million in the world’s most valuable Capture the Flag (CTF) online challenge.
Dr. Aloysius Cheang, Huawei’s chief security officer for the Middle East and Central Asia, said the fluidity of the digital economy requires vigilance.

New Hack-O-Sphere brings together more than 1,000 ethical hackers to compete in an exciting series of cyber competitions, including the $1 million CyTaka World Cyber Championship.

Hack-O-Sphere will see the return of the Bug Bounty Challenge, already a Guinness World Record holder for the world’s largest live bug bounty campaign, with over 200 ethical hackers and bounty hunters conducting live penetration tests to find security Vulnerabilities in real life products.
Other competitions include Port53’s cyber maze, which invites hackers to pass through a series of locked doors before reaching the finish line; the Find the Prize (FTP) competition for recent graduates run by the UAE Ministry of Interior; the Cyberthon competition; and the GISEC Global Badge Hacking Zone with strategic partner du.
GISEC Global 2023, themed ‘Connecting Minds, Building Cyber Resilience’, will be held with Dubai Electronic Security Center as Official Government Cybersecurity Partner, along with Ministry of Interior, Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) and Dubai Police as Official Supporters. More than 35,000 visitors from 100 countries are expected to attend.
