UAE, India to cooperate closely in ceramics trade

UAE – As construction activity in the UAE increases, manufacturers of ceramics and tiles are finding the country a lucrative market. In this regard, Emerald Worldwide Connections Private Limited recently organized the 2023 CBIS Dubai Roadshow. It provides an opportunity for leading ceramic manufacturers from India to connect with potential buyers to promote and nurture business opportunities.

The event aims to meet the growing demand for ceramic products in the GCC countries and strengthen trade links between the UAE and India,

Chief Guest Dr Mohammed Saeed Al-Kindi, former UAE Minister of Environment and Water Resources, said: “I would like to thank Emerald Worldwide Connections Pvt Ltd for taking the initiative to organize such a program, especially for entrepreneurs to share their thoughts, discuss their concerns- — Communicate openly, efficiently and effectively with the growth of the country’s economy” He further emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship and sustainable growth for the UAE economy, saying: “I am delighted to learn that this conference brings together Outstanding entrepreneurs doing commendable work in the plumbing industry, so I am sure this show will be a real inspiration to create a better future together.”

K. Kalimuthu, Consul General for Economics, Trade and Commerce at the Consulate General of India, said: “India and the UAE have a good historical and trade relationship. The Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (Cepa) provides many opportunities for both countries to take trade to the next level .”

Manoj Gopalani, Managing Director, Emerald Worldwide, said: “India is one of the largest hubs of premium ceramics. With substantial investment and continuous innovation in technology, process and design, India has the potential to meet demand and develop a strong trade relationship with the UAE.” The recent trade meeting in Dubai proved fruitful for both parties and will go a long way toward further sustaining the relationship,” he further commented.

According to a report by Allied Market Research, the Indian ceramic tile market is expected to reach USD 7.14 billion by 2027, growing at a CAGR of 8.6% during 2020-2027. India currently ranks second in the world in the production of ceramic products.
