Abu Dhabi’s luxury hotel scene is becoming increasingly design-led excellence, with Mondrian Hotels set to open a stunning property in the capital. Mondrian Abu Dhabi officially announced today, Monday 20 March, that it will open in front of the canal in the heart of Abu Dhabi.
The Mondrian is known for its dazzling design and local-first approach, which is exactly what you’d expect from this stunning beachfront property. While we’ll have to wait until next year to check into the Mondrian Abu Dhabi, it’s been worth the wait, with its breathtaking rooms and suites, and mouth-watering restaurants.
First renderings of the exciting new hotel, which will feature 221 rooms and 80 serviced apartments, show a modern and light copper and cream design, with rich curves and textures. Six restaurants and bars will appeal to gourmets, and an elegant spa awaits pampering, plus a kids’ club, retail area, and fitness facility ensure there is something for everyone.
Among its breathtaking facilities, Mondrian Abu Dhabi will boast a crystal-clear lagoon and stunning skyline views. Whether soaking up the sun while sipping a fruity drink, splashing around in the infinity pool or lounging on a lounger by the water, it will be a stylish addition to the capital.
The new Mondrian in Abu Dhabi is one of many exciting new openings for the brand in the region. Mondrian’s existing portfolio of seven hotels, which currently includes Doha in the region, will also join the Riyadh in 2026and later Dubai.
New Abu Dhabi Hotel
Together with Mondrian, Abu Dhabi’s hospitality industry is set to take off to the next level with a series of exciting new additions in the coming years. Later this year, guests will be able to stay at Liwa, Abu Dhabi, Marriott’s new Dream Desert Resort, Autograph Collection. A new island resort will invite guests to a Maldivian-style getaway in 2024, as LXR Hotels & Resorts opens an 80-villa resort on Al Nawras Island.Then in 2026, Nobu restaurant, beach club, luxury hotel and chic branded residences will all be completed Open Located on the scenic Mamsha Beach on Saadiyat Island, it is part of the Saadiyat Grove Cultural and Gastronomic Centre.
