ABU DHABI – The Sorbonne University in Abu Dhabi hosted an inspirational presentation entitled “Sustainable Tomorrow Through the Eyes of a Green Sheik”. Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Ali bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, environmental adviser to the Ajman government, known as the “Green Sheikh,” delivered the speech.
The event is part of the Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi‘s Go Green 2023 initiative to raise awareness of environmental topics and foster a culture of sustainable living at the university‘students, faculty and staff while promoting environmental awareness, knowledge and research in support of sustainable development in the region.
During the discussion, Sheikh Abdul Aziz shared his philosophies and ideas, and provided engaging insights and creative solutions so that we can all respect and protect our planet and its people. Additionally, he underscored his commitment to the cause while encouraging us all to join him in his mission to create a future where everyone can thrive without compromising the needs of present and future generations.
Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Ali bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Environmental Advisor to the Government of Ajman, commented: “Ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to live a healthy, fulfilling, and happy life without compromising the needs of present and future generations should be a top priority. It is a call to action to rethink the way we live and make sustainable choices and practices. It reminds us that we all have a role to play in creating a sustainable future and that, working together, we can achieve great things. “
