Abu Dhabi [UAE]March 22 (ANI): With today’s media industry facing ongoing challenges due to the proliferation of disinformation and rapid technological change, a new white paper titled ‘Building resilient media organizations in the age of disinformation,’ was published in London.

The paper was published on March 20 by the Global Media Congress and the official news agency of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), in partnership with transatlantic think tank The Henry Jackson Society.

This white paper offers eight different perspectives on these fundamental questions about the resilience of news organizations in the age of disinformation. These views are based on anonymous contributions and insights from dozens of attendees at last year’s Global Media Conference.

According to a white paper released by the Global Media Conference, media CEOs, editorial directors, academics, researchers and former journalists agree that technologies such as artificial intelligence and the metaverse are rapidly gaining popularity and will be game-changing for media. The media industry – though some are more skeptical than others how quickly this change will happen.

The white paper also reveals how important organizational sustainability is to media professionals today.

This article examines how despite these new difficulties, media professionals generally agree that the old standards of journalism—quality, authenticity, and reliability—still matter. They argue that innovation should not happen for the sake of innovation itself. The arguments of the Media Future Lab and this white paper are based on the understanding that news consumers need help navigating an increasingly polluted information world, for example through extensive public media literacy training.

Additionally, the document highlights the prevalence of misinformation/disinformation at the moment. This article provides valuable insights and practical advice on how the media can turn challenges into opportunities and how to effectively capitalize on existing opportunities.

It concluded that, according to the Global Media Congress, the success of media organizations in the evolving media landscape will depend on their ability to strike a balance between entertainment, profitability and information, while deftly adapting to changing consumer preferences and markets condition.
