‘Rick and Morty’ creator Justin Rowland cleared of domestic violence charges

rick and morty Creator Justin Roiland has been cleared of domestic violence charges, two months after he was fired from the network Adult Swim.

“We dismissed the charges today as insufficient evidence beyond a reasonable doubt,” Orange County District Attorney’s Office spokeswoman Kimberly Edds wrote in a statement.

After the verdict, Roiland also said on social media:

“I always knew those claims were wrong — I never doubted that this day would come,” Roiland said.

“I’m thankful that this case was dismissed, but at the same time, I’m still deeply appalled by the horrific lies that have been reported about me in the process. Most of all, I’m disappointed so many people are fighting this case without knowing the facts. The situation was so swiftly judged based solely on the words of an angry ex trying to circumvent due process and have me ‘disqualified’.”

Roiland added: “It may have been successful, even partially, and it would be disgraceful. However, now that the legal case is over, I am determined to move on and focus on my creative projects and restoring my good name.”

Speaking of type Roiland’s attorney, T. Edward Welbourn, said, “I applaud the Orange County District Attorney’s Office for conducting a thorough review of the facts and deciding to dismiss the case against Justin. I am grateful that justice has prevailed.”

Voice actor, animator, writer, producer and director Mark Justin Roiland is best known as the co-creator of the Adult Swim animated series rick and morty, for which he voiced protagonists Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith.He is also the co-founder of Hulu solar opposite. Adult Swim and Hulu did not comment on the development.
