The plan covers tuition, laptops, and transportation expenses for students before graduating from high school
Thanks to the scholarship program, the frontline heroes of the UAE are grateful because their children’s education expenses are taken care of.
The scholarship is called “Hayyakum” and is used to cover tuition, laptops, and transportation expenses before graduating from high school.
In a video shared by the Office of Frontline Heroes, two medical staff thanked His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, for the plan.
“This is a feeling I cannot describe in words,” said Manal Ali Abdulrahman, a clinical resource nurse for outpatient healthcare services.
Nurse Suheir Abuhasnah said she knew her son was in “safe hands”.
“We are very grateful to the UAE government and UAE leadership for making our lives easier,” she said.
Manal’s daughter Foton and Suheir’s son Jawad stated that they will have a bright future thanks to the plan.
Approximately 1,850 children of frontline healthcare professionals in the UAE have received scholarships.
The scholarship program was launched under the direction of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed.

Hayyakum aims to provide high-quality education to the children of frontline healthcare professionals and reduce the financial pressure they face. The ultimate goal is to “retain first-line healthcare professionals in the UAE for a long time.”
The Frontline Hero Office was established in July 2020 to provide support to a full range of frontline professionals, including medical and non-medical personnel working in the health sector; as well as protection and prevention, safety and emergency response, and health workers.
