Etihad Business Class Lounge Abu Dhabi Terminal 3 Review

You can read my review on my Etihad Business Class short-haul flights are here.

The lounge is located in Terminal 3, near Gate 36.

The lounge is a bit of a walk from check-in, but it was conveniently close to my gate. It’s in a completely different area than the first class lounge.

I heard the lounge was very busy but when I entered around 7.30am it was relatively quiet. When you first enter, there is a left luggage area, which is managed by the staff if you want to leave anything.

I made a beeline for one of the two buffet areas. This one has an unattended bar and a dining area with plenty of available tables. I noticed that the tables were cleared and cleaned frequently.

The buffet breakfast has a variety of hot and cold dishes, including local specialties and more traditional cooked items, pastries and fruit.

This area only has soft drinks, including bottled water, soda, juice, and lemon mint drinks.

I chose a good variety of local dishes, including foul medames, which I would recommend if you haven’t tried them. It’s sort of like a cross between baked beans and refried beans, but with subtle spices and a choice of fresh toppings like cilantro or chopped onion and tomato.

The second area has a small buffet and dining area, and some coffee machines.

The bar offers a wide range of alcohol including wines, champagnes and spirits.

Champagne is Duval Leroy, and there is also a choice of three reds and two whites.

The selection of spirits is good but they are not very premium brands, the gin is Bombay Sapphire.

There are two different seating areas with comfortable sofas and chairs. I love the dividers in the lounge that divide the sections but allow you to see through and are decorated with interesting objects.

There’s a small selection of magazines when you walk in, and there’s a Press Reader QR code that lets you download newspapers and magazines.

For those traveling with children, there is a separate children’s room for them to play. Great news for others who can enjoy the serenity!

If you want to work, there is a business area with desks, some of which have a Mac computer to use. There is also a printer.

There are showers and the toilet itself is spotless and modern.

You can also upgrade to a private area in the Business Lounge for up to 4 diners, with your own lounge and TV for a fee.
