Members of different brotherhoods in the UAE welcome the federal decision to allow Students 15 years and older are about to work in the country According to the temporary visa program.

The new regulations for students will enable them to gain some experience while adding value to the UAE economy.

Community members called it a “great initiative” and praised the UAE government’s reforms, which were part of the 50-country project announced earlier this month.

As far as education experts are concerned, they said that “connecting the world of learning and working” through cooperation with industry leaders is essential for young people to better prepare for the future of work and life.

Simon Herbert, CEO of GEMS International School-Al Khail, stated that this move will enable young people to “experience real-life employment.”

“In the modern world, our young people are sheltered so much, and it is exciting to hear an initiative that gives them a deep understanding of work life, despite its small scale.

“Our students will benefit from how hard it is to work and apply the knowledge they have learned in school to the real world. Society will also make it by letting young people know that they earn wages, make budgets, and contribute to the workplace. It is very valuable, not just through the perspective of theoretical education, so as to benefit the society.”

Matthew Tompkins, principal/CEO of GEMS FirstPoint School, pointed out that this was a “big step forward”-and recalled how his part-time work experience as a young man helped him try Different things.

Future earnings

At the same time, young people in the country believe that early access to the workplace will help them make informed decisions about future career choices.

Ishan Vaish, a student at Dubai Millennium School, said: “Gathering work experience at a young age and having the opportunity to make a little money will give us a sense of independence. It will help us understand the value of money and budget, and teach us how the economy works. .”

Vaish believes that young people entering the job market will be able to develop skills and clarify the types of occupations they want to pursue in the future. “The program will help us learn important values-and help us stand out when applying for college. We will be able to develop key skills, such as time management, to effectively prepare for full-time work,” the 17-year-old added.

Kshiraj Mahtani, a 16-year-old student at the Gem World Academy, is keen to understand how the program has developed — and has some enterprising ideas of his own.

Similarly, 16-year-old Hale Education Group student Sanaa Carrimjee emphasized that due to the digital proficient generation and greater exposure, young people may have another perspective on solving industry problems.

How to apply for a permit for students 15 years and older

Work permits for UAE students can be obtained through Human Resources and the Emirates website.

This agency provides services to “any agency that recruits domestic or foreign workers aged 15-18 and who live in the country”.

The validity period of the license does not exceed one year.
