Millions of jobs will bear the brunt of the impact of advanced artificial intelligence. Many jobs in media, marketing and accounting will be eliminated, technology and human resources executives said.

“There is a consensus in the business community that most jobs for marketers, media people, analysts, researchers and accountants will be cut. While millions of jobs as we know them will die, new jobs will be created, said Shalini Verma, CEO of Pivot Technologies.

However, AI and automation will significantly change the jobs of soldiers, doctors, teachers, drivers, shopkeepers and pilots. In addition, management, content creation, software development, customer service, etc. will be handed over to AI and ChatGPT.

“Thus, these positions will not have much impact on the job market. However, high-paying and complex jobs in manufacturing, finance and investment, research and advertising will also be taken over by AI. This will definitely change the nature of the job market in the UAE. Finally, once driverless cars become the norm in the UAE, the driver’s job will gradually disappear,” she said.

Nicki Wilson, managing director of Genie Recruitment, said any role that might require building a lot of content could be affected.

“We are already seeing advances in artificial intelligence creative tools, which may mean that some basic graphic design roles may also be affected in the near future. Although we work with a lot of creative people, I think it takes a lot of imagination. The role will not be greatly affected,” she said.
