Dubai: Fog blanketed parts of Abu Dhabi today. The National Meteorological Center has issued yellow and red weather alerts, warning motorists that horizontal visibility on some UAE roads may be affected by heavy fog.
Fog is expected before 8.30am, according to the alert.
Overall, warm weather is expected to return across most of the UAE today. However, partly cloudy weather is expected along the country’s eastern seaboard.
According to the NCM: “The weather will be clear to partly cloudy and cloudy in parts overnight with elevated temperatures.”
Also, if you are allergic to dust and are heading outdoors, be careful, as the NCM warns: “Small and moderate winds of 15-25 km/h sometimes reaching 40 km/h can blow up dust and sand.”
The highest temperature across the country is expected to be between 28-34°C, and the lowest temperature is expected to be between 10-15°C.
In the coastal areas, maximum temperatures will be between 25-30°C and in the mountains between 19-24°C.
Humidity in the interior areas is moderate at 65-85%, while in the mountains, humidity is expected to be 55-75%.
The NCM also said an increase in relative humidity is expected overnight and Saturday morning, especially along the coast and inland.
By Saturday morning, westward seas in the Arabian Gulf will be moderate and could become choppy at times, with weaker seas in the Sea of ​​Oman.
