This year is a long holiday for the people of the UAE. The first long weekend was in May on the eve of Eid, when residents enjoyed a five-day holiday from May 11th to 15th.
The last long weekend is during the Eid al-Adha in July. Residents will have a six-day holiday from Monday, July 19 (Arafa) to Saturday, July 24. This is the longest holiday for residents this year.
Residents got a three-day holiday on the eve of the Islamic New Year. The Hijri year began on August 10, but an official holiday was announced on August 12, followed by a two-day weekend.
Another three-day weekend may be from Thursday, October 21st to Saturday, October 23rd to commemorate the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

On the occasion of the anniversary and the UAE National Day, the last break will be four days, from Wednesday, December 1st to Saturday, December 4th.
