ABU DHABI, 31st March, 2023 (WAM) — The Integrated Transport Center (ITC), Abu Dhabi Department of Municipalities and Transport, DMT, has stressed the importance of all heavy goods vehicles adhering to scheduled times and permitted weights, in either direction Use Tahnoun bin Mohammed Road (Dubai-Al Ain E66).
Strictly instruct vehicles to comply with road requirements for regulated use and avoid exceeding the permitted weight of 45 tons to avoid violations and fines.
Trucks will be fined for failing to comply with Abu Dhabi’s freight regulations when passing through smart gates, the ITC announced.
As part of an awareness campaign for heavy-duty vehicle owners and drivers, the ITC sent text messages to remind and guide them on the safety standards they need to follow when operating heavy freight and goods delivery vehicles before imposing fines.

The ITC explained that customers can file a complaint against any shipment violation through the “TAMM” integrated government service platform under the “Transportation Violation Request Complaint” within 60 days from the date of the violation.
The Freight Regulations are aimed at organizing and supervising road freight activities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, increasing the level of traffic safety, maintaining the infrastructure of the emirate’s roads and ensuring their sustainability through compliance with all requirements and safety standards.
