Egis, a leading international multidisciplinary engineering, consulting and operations company, has entered into a new strategic partnership with the Emirates Green Building Council (EmiratesGBC).

The deal will pave the way for it to become an industry partner of EmiratesGBC, the highest ranking member of the council.

EmiratesGBC is a non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting and educating sustainability in the UAE’s built environment and is a full member of the World Green Building Council.

As an industry partner, Egis will work closely with EmiratesGBC to promote the adoption of sustainable building practices and technologies in the region.

The firm has been delivering sustainability services globally for over 50 years and its partnership with EmiratesGBC reflects its commitment to promoting sustainable practices in the Middle East.

The partnership will allow Egis to contribute its extensive experience in sustainability and engineering to EmiratesGBC’s initiatives and activities, while also gaining valuable insight into the challenges the construction industry faces across the value chain.

“We will also work closely with EmiratesGBC on our effective and productive participation in UNFCCC COP28 in Dubai. COP28 is especially important as it comes at a critical time when the world is facing an unprecedented climate emergency. Therefore, we must ensure that bold act and make effective decisions to address the urgent climate crisis,” AbuSiam said.

Dr Ali Aljassim, Chairman of EmiratesGBC, welcomed Egis as an industry partner, saying: “We believe its expertise and commitment to sustainable development will be important in driving sustainable development in the UAE and beyond.”
