On Saturday, the UAE Public Prosecution explained the penalties for conducting organized begging.
Those who outsource people to the UAE to use them in organized begging crimes should also be punished in the same way.
Under Section 476 of Federal Act No. 31 of 2021 (Crime and Penalties Act) promulgating the Penal Code, a person who administers the crime of organized begging committed by an organized group of two or more persons shall be sentenced to a sentence not exceeding six months’ imprisonment and a fine not exceeding Dh100,000.
These positions are part of the Public Prosecution’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the legal culture among community members and increase their awareness of the latest legislation in the country.
