According to Spanish media reports, Shakira is preparing to move to the United States with her children and parents within the next two weeks.
The Waka Waka singer, 46, has moved out of Spain permanently following a painful split from longtime boyfriend Gerard Piqué, 36.
Shakira’s relocation has been delayed due to the health of his parents, whose father, William Mebarak, has been battling various health issues for the past year.
Meanwhile, Shakira’s mother, Nidia Ripoll, was also going through a health crisis when she was admitted to hospital with a blood clot.
Last month, it was reported that the Colombian singer-songwriter planned to move to Miami on April 1 with her sons Milan, 10, and Sasha, 8.
Spanish entertainment website Vanitatis reported on Friday that Shakira has confirmed that she will leave Spain permanently this weekend.
Shakira and Pique will part ways in June 2022. The breakup was allegedly due to Pique’s betrayal of Shakira with his new girlfriend.
Shakira was granted full custody of the children earlier this year, and Peake has 10 days a month with them.
Spanish media also claimed that Shakira had found a mysterious man, which seemed to be the reason for her move.
