Russian idle now Beixi The natural gas pipeline network runs through the Baltic Sea to Germany. The pipeline was a concern until the army invaded Ukraine Because it represents Russia’s stranglehold on the regional energy sector.

Last year, saboteurs attacked the pipeline network with explosives, and Western economies largely shunned any shipments of fossil fuels from Russia. Before the war, Russia was the main gas supplier to Europe, although U.S. LNG now has a sizeable market share.

Of the total delivered last year, around 67% of LNG deliveries went to Europe, Vitol said. Meanwhile, Finland only started receiving small quantities of LNG from the United States last year.

“A total of seven cargoes will arrive at the port of Inkoo in Finland in spring and summer,” Vitol said in a statement.

If not already, the US is poised to become the world’s leading LNG exporter, surpassing Australia and Qatar. U.S. LNG exports averaged 10.6 Bcf/d last year, and the government expects them to hit 12.7 Bcf/d next year.

20 ships left U.S. export terminals in seven days to March 29 LNG. There is only one Calcasieu Pass left.
